Let’s make your day truly special, shall we?
Thanks to my mother who raised me tending the roses, planting spring bulbs, hunting native wildflowers, and wrestling endlessly with her unbelievably beautiful and wild perennial gardens, my earliest farm dreams have always included cut flowers.
Today we grow over 50 varieties of specialty cut flowers including perennial and annual blooms. Every year we design, arrange, and deliver flowers for markets, weddings, and special events around southwest Virginia.
We love sharing our local beauty and relish the opportunity to collaborate with florists, designers, and other growers.
Vegetables feed our bodies—flowers feed our souls.
Don’t wait.
Call today and let’s dream up the perfect flowers for you!
-
Spring
Tender new beginnings are perfectly manifested in spring blooms. Everything is soft and dreamy; full of pastels and silky blossoms.
-
Summer
Warm, bright, and cheerful, summer is awash in technicolor and abundance! There is so much variety and joy in the flowers of summer.
-
Fall
Rich, bold, and deeply romantic, fall blooms are some of our favorites! Full of earthy tones, fall flowers match the dramatic changing of the season.
“When we finally tied the knot, it became clear that hiring Susanna was one of the best decisions we’d made.
Everything she made took my breath away.”

The details
Every event is unique. Every occasion truly special.
In order to devote ourselves fully, we only book one wedding or large event per weekend in season (April-November).
This makes it especially important to book your date quickly. If we have your date available we will hold it for you throughout the planning and design phase.
All of our contracts and pricing are specific to each occasion. We start with a consultation call, sketch out your wildest dreams and take it from there!
We are not traditional florists.
Our floral designs are oriented around the blooms in season.
We have a personal, farm-fresh style that is not necessarily suited for everyone. Before moving forward, we ask that you consider the following:
The weather is unpredictable and as such flower availability is subject to change.
We will do our best to meet your color palette and design expectations, but we will not be able to promise availability of specific flower varieties or exact color matches.
Our arrangements are created in accordance with our commitment to sustainable, local growing practices.
We will use all flowers grown on Thornfield Farm first. However, if additional flowers are needed, we will work with other regional growers and florists who source locally to ensure sufficient numbers of blooms for your arrangements.
